ACADEMIC OUTPUT & INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE

Dr. Malwina Ewa KOŁODZIEJCZA, holds two doctoral degrees, in Security Studies (2018) and Law (2024). She is currently an Assistant Professor at the Institute of State Security, Faculty of National Security, War Studies University (ASzWoj), Warsaw.

Her academic work focuses on constitutional and international law, national and international security, defence and crisis management, state institutions, and legal frameworks applicable in times of armed conflict and emergency. She is the author of more than 60 academic publications and has presented her research at numerous national and international conferences and speaker at numerous national and international academic conferences.

Her international research experience includes projects and research visits in Taiwan, the United Kingdom, the United States, France and Switzerland, with research interests spanning constitutional and international law, national security, cybersecurity, armed conflict, emergency governance, and civil protection.

RESEARCH, ADVISORY & EXPERT ACTIVITIES (2017–PRESENT)

• Expert and author of legal analyses and expert opinions for the Institute of Justice, Academic Centre for Cybersecurity Policy, and Institute of Constitutional Law Foundation, addressing issues related to constitutional law, national security, cybersecurity, freedom of expression, media pluralism, and state institutions;
• Researcher in research projects funded by the Polish Ministry of National Defence and Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Education and Higher Education, focusing on national security governance, cybersecurity, comparative constitutional law, crime prevention, and the implementation of Poland’s national security strategy;
• Research Task Leader in projects examining the institutional architecture of law-enforcement and rights-protection bodies, including the legal protection of freedom of expression and media pluralism.

• French Culture Centre, University of Warsaw – research fellowship, 2017;
• „Identity – Dialogue – Security” Research Centre, University of Warsaw – research fellowship, 2023;
• National Chengchi University, Taipei – international research project in international law and international security, 2018.

• KOCWIN Stiftung Research Fellowship, Switzerland – one-year research fellowship (2025–2026) focused on civil protection and civil defence in Switzerland;
